My oldest son will be 18 this year which reminds me that A I’m getting older and B he’s going to be graduating soon and is planning the rest of his life. It’s exciting to see him mature into a young man. We’ve had our tough times but at the end he’s my son and I’m very proud of him, which I don’t tell him as often.. So son if you are reading this I love you and I am proud of you! I’ve been tough on you for a reason trust me.

I wanted to invite you all to an amazing event and trust me it’s going to be epic!! let me tell you why! “Steelo” is amazing guy and very talented dancer and more!.. The amazing part is just like photography we tell stories with our camera… Well internet he does the same but with dance serious! In January of 2009 I had the privilege and honor to meet Steelo and a few of the Groovaloos team and founder “Shooz” Bradley Rapier here in Riverside. Below are a few pictures I took while they were teaching classes to the students. I remember I had a smile a HUGE smile while documenting the whole evening. I felt like a kid at Disney Land, I wish I was lying but I’m not haha I love love Dance!

This same year they also took the winning title of Superstars of Dance how awesome is that right? Below are a few clips to see them all in action!

Now a little about Steelo Richard Vazquez:

Richard was born and raised in Bronx, New York. He moved to Puerto Rico at the age of 11/12 and began to learn how to bboy by Poeone. He continued to dance and compete winning competitions and talent shows, etc. At the age of 18 he got a modeling agent in Puerto Rico and started auditioning and touring with local Puerto Rican reageaton artist. At the age of 20 he moved to Los Angeles where he continued to pursuing bboying. He also got a dance and print agent and worked jobs such as GQ Magazine, Madonna, Oprah, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Janet Jackson, and Rihanna to name a few. He toured with Gwen Stefani, worked on movies such as Malibu’s Most Wanted, and Coach Carter. He recently caught the acting bug and is currently pursuing acting full time.

On June 20th of this year, Richard “Steelo” Vazquez, a well-known, successful dancer/bboy, suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm. He underwent emergency surgery and during the operation, suffered another rupture. After all his surgeries were complete, Steelo had four ruptures in total and left him needing extensive rehabilitation to learn to walk and talk again.
This fundraiser will support him, his wife, and his one year old son during this long recovery process.

We were a bit scared at first, we had a lot of people tell us why not to get a pit bull. You hear horror stories about children and adults being attacked by them etc. So needless to say I did my home work! But I am proud to say I am a new owner of a gorgeous blue nosed American Terrier aka Pit bull! I am beyond happy with this new fellow, he is so loving and we are going to do our best to show him to love others as well. So far he is getting along great with our children and our pet Chihuahua! Check out the few pictures I took today of them in action it’s hilarious to see them chase each other!

What a way to end a new year with a new look to my blog, I have bee wanting to add a few things to my blog but with school, kids and my loving husband I’ve been short on time! I hope everyone likes it =) I apologize if I have not been posting as much as I should but with the wedding season over I have been spending time with the family, and since a post is not complete without a picture here is a recent picture I took of my wonderful kids!

Did you name her after the clothes line?

That is the million dollar question I always get asked when I tell people my daughters name….. Then I proceed to explain how she got the name. Long story short our last name is Luna so in english that means the moon my husband thought the ocean and the moon sounded different so he named her Nautica aka Nautical.  At first I thought my husband was nuts but I LOVE the name it’s unique and different

So this post is dedicated to my precious daughter even tho I will be shooting a wedding on your birthday, I LOVE you so much! I am so glad you are home schooled because I get to spend so much time with you and SEE you blossom into a beautiful young lady.
